Author Biography
Donovan Bixley ONZM has sold hundreds of thousands of copies of his books in 31 countries and 18 languages, including te reo Maori. He has won awards for both his illustrating and writing and won the Children’s Choice award in 2013. In 2021, he became an Officer of the Order of New Zealand. With over 100 books published, his unique style of illustration brings delight and joy to readers both young and old. He lives on the crater’s edge of the greatest volcanic eruption in human history (also known as Lake Taupo, in New Zealand).
Music fills his spare time, alongside his wife and three daughters.

At Loving Mother, we dispatch orders daily and aim to dispatch all orders received before 12 noon the same day. However, sometimes this is not possible due to the volume of orders and the time the courier collects. As a general rule your order will be dispatched within 24-48 hours on weekdays.

Standard shipping is for delivery during business hours Monday to Friday only, and does not include Saturday or same-day delivery.
We offer a local delivery to postcodes 0610, 0614, 0618, 0814 (excludes rural) for only $5 and a 1-2 day turn around with free delivery for orders over $99.

Global Delivery
We ship internationally to Australia with under 2kg for $10, over 2kg is $20 (excludes oversized items e.g. Baths). Spend over $120 and pay a discounted rate of $20 standard Australian shipping. Delivery is 3-10 working days.
We ship internationally to Asia for $50, Europe for $85, United States for $80, all excluding oversized.

Returns

Should you change your mind we will happily provide an exchange subject to the following conditions;
- Returned goods be accompanied with receipt
- The goods returned within 14 days of delivery
- The goods need to be in the original condition as purchased
The above does not apply to sale goods, which are not returnable. Exchanges to be at the expense of the customer if exchanged via post or courier.
Faulty Goods
If goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act but proof of purchase is required. Faulty goods must be returned to us as soon as possible. Freight charges will not be borne by you if you are located within New Zealand (North & South Island). If you are located outside New Zealand (North & South Island) and you wish to return faulty goods to us (for repair or otherwise), then, to the fullest extent permitted by law, you will be responsible for the freight and handling charges associated with: (a) returning the goods to us; and (b) delivering any repaired or replacement goods back to you. We will advise you of the freight and handling costs associated with returning repaired or replacement goods to us in such circumstances and the repaired or replacement goods will not be sent to you until you have confirmed that you will pay the freight and handling costs.
